Vintage Japanese Ceramic Tanuki Statue
This is a vintage ceramic tanuki (raccoon dog) statue. Tanuki are a popular symbol of success and good luck and are often found in statue form outside businesses. Like on most statues of this kind, the tanuki is holding a sake bottle in one hand and a bankbook or ledger in the other. It is a light brown and gray.
